I was born in Santuario, Risaralda, Colombia in 1959, and I am a self-taught painter. I started painting at a very early age. I have participated in various group exhibitions, both individual and collective, creating my own unique style that is necessary for any artist to be recognized on this planet. I presented my work at the Congress of Colombia.
My Artistic Style
My artistic style is based on what I call "foquism," which could be considered an extension of the art style presented by Picasso's Cubism or the works created by Georges Braque, Franz Marc, Lyonel Fenninger, or even the Futurist art movement. However, I maintain that my work is free from these influences and is solely based on the distortions that can be created by light through its reflections or refractions. It is this essence that most defines my work and artistic style.
